2. Define mise en scene.
Mise en scene is everything that the director decides to include in the shoot. This can range from different costumes and make-up to the setting of a scene to lighting. If it is included in the shoot, it is mise en Scene.
3. Why is it important in film production?
It is important in film production the audience is directly consuming it. Changing aspects of mise en scene would mean changing the scene and can therefore change the message.

The arranging and blocking of objects in mise en scene is how and where the director decides to place something/someone in a scene. For example, a director may choose to place someone on a higher standing than someone else to indicate that they have power or authority over them. Blocking is when the director purposely decides to not show the audience an object/individual. An object could also be placed in the center of the shot to put the focus on it.
